Many of the sculptures produce sound from their surface texture being sampled with a light and sensor. They serve as working models for further development. The tensioned wires and horn speakers have become an element which continues throughout the current work. The dark undertone of systems on the verge of self-destruction and totalitarian state control apparatus is an intentional part of exploring how people interact with the unfamiliar objects which move with scanning beams of light and make loud sinister sounds in a darkened space. |
