Work with secondary school pupils who have no previous experience of art and in many cases have found formal academic subjects a real challenge. Running the AQA Photography course for 9 years has been a rewarding experience for me and all those taking part have grown in confidence and the ability to express their thoughts and feelings. Most will not have gone on to study Art & Design as a further course subject - despite the astonishing results and fantastic images they have produced. They will however take with them the resourcefulness, adaptability and ability to make the most of future opportunities to make learning a life-long adventure.
